Hon. Hakeem Olabode Akamowas born into the family of Akamo and Onitiri in Lagos Island on 27 th May, 1966. He holds a Master of Education (EducationalAdministration) from the University of Lagos (2002) and a Bachelors of Education with double honours in Fine Arts from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife (1995) with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. He is a seasoned professional in both educational and local government administration and has put in over 25 years of service in various sectors; 16 of which he spent in various local governments across Lagos State as an Educational Administrator and Strategist. He was the Head of Department, Education and Library Services in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area in 2007 and Ijede Local Council Development Area of Lagos State till this appointment. A member of many professional bodies (Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Association of Educational Administration and Planning, and Chattered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria); Mr. Akamo is also very active in political activities. He is a leader of the All Progressive Congress in Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State, Chairman of the Femi Gbajabiamila Campaign Organization and a member of Team Continuity 2019 for the same principal. Hon. Hakeem Olabode Akamo represents the South-West in the Commission.
